An object is placed at a distance of 12cm in front of a concave mirror.It forms a real image 4 times larger than the object. Calculate the distance of the image from the mirror.

magnification formula for concave mirror : m = -v/u .................(1)
where m is magnification, v is image to mirror distance and u is object to mirror distance.
real image and 4 times larger means , image is inverted, hence from eqn (1) by substituting m = -4 and u =12
we get v.
-4 = -v/12 or v = 48 cm
