An object 5 cm in length is placed at a distance of 20 cm in front of a concave mirror of radius of curvature 30 cm. Find the position of the image ,it's nature and size

When the object lies along the principle axis, then its longitudinal magnification m = (v/u)2
where u is the mirror-to-object distance and v is mirror-to-image distance.
length of image Li = [ f / (u-f) ]2 Lo .....................(1)
where f is focal length of mirror and Lo is length of object
position is obtained from mirror equation :- (1/v) + (1/u) = 1/f .......................(2)
if radius of curvature is 30 cm , then f = 15 cm
Hence from eqn.(2), we have, 1/v = (1/15) - (1/20) = (1/60) or v = 60 cm
lateral size Li is obtained from eqn.(1), hence Li = [ 15/ (20-15) ]2 × 5 = 45
image is magnified and real
