An object 4 cm in size is placed at a distance of 25 cm from a concave mirror of focal length 15 cm. Find the position, nature and height of the image.

We have mirror equation that relates object-to-mirror distance u , image-to-mirror distance v and focal length of mirror f as
(1/v) + (1/u) = 1/f
(1/v) = (1/f) - (1/u) = (1/15) - (1/25) = 2/75
Hence v = 75/2 = 37.5 cm
magnicfiaction m = -v/u = -37.5/25 = -1.5 cm
if object size 4 cm , then image size ( -1.5 × 4 ) = -6 cm
Image is formed at 37.5 cm in front of mirror , Image is magnified by 1.5 times , Image size is 6 cm
Image is real and inverted.
