In figure we see that , length of strings from point o to pulleys and inter distance between pulleys are related as
 
h2 + d2 = l2  ......................(1)
 
By differentiating with respect to time, eqn.(1), we get,  2h (dh/dt) = 2l (dl/dt)  ...............(1)
 
since (dl/dt) = v  , we get  dh/dt = (l/h) v  = v/cosθ
 
Hence the block W raises with speed at any instant = v/cosθ
