80 cm is very small value. I assume the tower height is 80 m.

Range of transmission is given by begin mathsize 12px style square root of 2 R cross times h end root end style, where R is earth radius (6300 km) and h is the height of tower.
hence range of 80 m tower is begin mathsize 12px style square root of 2 cross times 6300 cross times 1000 cross times 80 end root space equals space 31.75 space k m end style
