When a bar magnet is cut from the middle into two pieces A and B, each of them will act as an individual magnet and will possess all the magnetic properties. 

To verify this, you can conduct a repulsion test on both the magnets. The repulsion test is a sure test of magnetism.

So, if you bring the a north pole of magnet B near to the north pole of magnet A, then the two magnets will repel each other.
