Drift velocity vd = I/(neA); where I is current, n is electron number density, e is charge of electron and A is area of cross section.
we have to find number density;-
given :- density 9000 kg/m3
number of Cu atoms in 9000 kg = [ 6.02×1023 /(63.5×10-3) ] × 9000 = 8.54 × 1028 m-3
hence vd = 1.5/(8.54×1028×1.602×10-19×10-7) = 10-3 m/s = 1 mm / s
