x = 2 is one root of the equation (k-3)x2 - kx - 8 = 0 ... (i)
Therefore x=2 satisfies (i)
(k-3)22 - 2k - 8 = 0
4k - 12 - 2k - 8 = 0
2k - 20 = 0
k = 10
The equation becomes 7x2 - 10x - 8 = 0
Sum of the roots = 10/7
Other root = 10/7 - 2 = -4/7
