2 convex lens L1 L2 are kept in contact with each other.if the space between the two lenses is filled with a material of refractive index 1,the magnitude of focal length of the combination will 1.become undefined 2.remains unchanged 3.increases 4.decreases

Expert Answer:
since the refractive index of the material filled in between is one i.e it is technically equal to free space thus the combination will have an increased power as the two lens are both convex and thus the focal length will decrease.
