(x2 + 1)2 - x2 = 0
x4 + 2x2 + 1 - x2 = 0
x4 + x2 + 1 = 0
x2 = m
m2 + m + 1 = 0
Find discriminant of the quadratic equation you get it is less than zero.
Hecne, equation has no real roots.
