Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent. It is  the coldest, windiest and driest continent. It contains 90 percent of all of the ice on Earth. Antarctica is a continent which remains covered with snow and thick ice sheets all the year round. Hence it is known as the ‘White Continent’. According to various scientists, climatic conditions and weather in Antarctica can influence weather conditions in many other regions of the world. Thus, many countries have set up weather stations at Antarctica to observe and record the climatic conditions existing here.
