While conducting the experiment to measure the quantity of water displaced by the body it is advised to immerse the solid in water with out to uching he walla or bottom of the container. why?

This is advised so that you measure the true value of water displaced. When the body touches the walls or the bottom, part of the force/weight of the body is supported by the walls or the bottom. So, you will not be able to measure the true value.
