Two charges +q and -q are located at points A [0,0,-a] and B [0,0,+a] respectively. How much work is done in moving a test charge from point P [7,0,0] to Q [-3,0,0] ?

Potential VP at P due to point charges placed at A and B is given by
Potential VQ at Q due to point charges placed at A and B is given by
P and Q are points at zero potential. Hence to move the test charge from P to Q the amount of work to be done is zero.
This can be seen from figure. Points A and B are on z-axis and they are equi-distant points from y-axis. Any point in y-axis has zero potential.
Points P and Q are on the y-axis. Hence to move the test charge from P to Q, workdone is zero
