Equation of parabola : y2 = 4x
if the ordinate of a point is 1, then abscissa : x = 1/4 ; if the ordinate of a point is 2, then abscissa : x = 1 ;
if the ordinate of a point is 4, then abscissa : x = 4 ;
hence vertices are : A [ 1/4, 1 ], B [ 4, 4] and C [1, 2]
Area = (1/2)[ Ax(By - Cy ) + Bx(Cy - Ay ) + Cx (Ay - By ) ] = (1/2) [ (1/4) ( 4 - 2) + 4(2-1) +1(1-4) ] = (3/4) sq.units
