Sir, I feel that the answer must be option (a) , but in the book, it is given as option (c). Please tell me the right answer with reason.

The question asked is about to find the number of resonating structure and you are correct - to this option a will be the answer - there should be a printing error in the book.
 
Find the image attached to refer the resonating structure of the two.
 
(There could be a probable printing error if Question was taken from MS Chouhan)
