Some features of good democracy are:

• It is a form of government in which the leaders are elected by the people.
• All major decisions are made by the elected leaders who are the representatives of the people.
• Free and fair elections are held regularly.
• Democracy is based on the principle of one person, one vote and one value.
• There is a Rule of Law and basic fundamental rights are granted to each and every citizen of the country.
• There is no discrimination amongst people on the basis colour, caste, gender, class or religion. 

India is an example of a good democracy because elections are held regularly after an interval of five years. People choose their own representatives in the elections. All major decisions in the country are taken and laws are framed by the Parliamentarians who are elected by the people. Every person in the country have one vote and each vote has one value. Every citizen has been given basic fundamental rights and no discrimination is made amongst the people on the basis of caste, colour, gender and religion.
