Upthrust due to buoyancy is balanced by weight of the load
 
If V is volume of solid sphere, ρs is density of solid , ρw is density of water and m is the mass of load kept on floating sphere,
 
then by force balance,  V ( ρw - ρs ) g = m g 
 
Hence ,  ρs = ρw - ( m / V )  =  1000 - [ 0.1 / ( (4/3)×π×53 Χ 10-6 ) = 809 kg/m3
