Expert Answer
For the given question, which of the following does not conduct electricity?
- copper: Copper is a good conductor of electricity
- alcohol: Alcohol does not conduct electricity because, it is a covalent compound, which does not dissociate into ions.
- dilute sulphuric acid: It is a good conductor because of the large amount of H+ ions.
- vinegar: Vinegar, an aqueous solution of acetic acid, conducts electricity because it dissociates into ions when dissolved in water.
Hence the correct option is B, alcohol.
