Let the number of Orange boxes be X and number of Apple boxes be Y.

From the given conditions,

X + Y = 12
and
50X + 25Y = 500

We need to maximize 10X + 6Y.

From the conditions,
Y = 12 - X

=> 50X + 25(12 - X) = 500
=> 50X + 300 - 25X = 500
=> 25X = 200
=> X = 200/25
=> X = 8

Hence, Y = 12 - 8 = 4.

Hence the maximum profit is
(10 x 8) + (6 x 4) = 80 + 24 = 104.
