Let the reduced price be Rs x
So, x + 7% of x = 2568
rightwards double arrow x plus 7 over 100 x equals 2568 rightwards double arrow 107 x equals 2568 cross times 100 rightwards double arrow x equals fraction numerator 2568 cross times 100 over denominator 107 end fraction rightwards double arrow x equals 2400
So, the redured price id Rs 2400
Reduction in the price = 2568-2400= Rs 168
