Balancing equation Nitrogen gas reacts with hydrogen gas

While balancing a chemical reaction we have to see if the atoms of each type are same on reactant and product side if it is so then reaction is said to be balanced.
N2 + H2 → NH3
The above reaction is not balanced since reactant side have 2 N atoms and 2 H atoms but prodict side have 1 N and 3 H, so hit and trial method is applied to balance these atoms on both sides and finally we get -
N2 + 3H2 → 2NH3
