- In the normal language, the term 'constant' and 'uniform' may interchange each other in most of the cases.
- However, in Physics, this inter-changeablility may differ a lot, based on the physical quantity that is expressed using these terms.
- For example, if the body is moving, such that, the velocity remains same with respect to time and the body continues to move in same direction, then, the body is said to be  moving with a 'constant velocity'.
- Similarly, if the body is moving in a uniform circular motion, the acceleration of the body remains the same, but the direction along which it acts changes at every instant of time (every second), thus, as the direction changes, we can say that this body is moving in uniform motion.
- Thus direction plays an important role in the difference between 'constant' and 'uniform' while describing motion.
- however, in both cases, the magnitude remains the same.
