An electric pump has 2kW power. How much water it can lift every minute to height of 10m?

Power (P) = 2 kW = 2000 W
Power (P) in Watts = J/s
1 Watt = 1 J / s
Therefore, 2000 W = 2000 J/s
One minute = 60 seconds
 
Power (P) is also given by
P = Work Done (W)/(t) ...(1)
w = mgh 
Height (h) = 10m
g = 9.8 m/s2 
 
Applying all the abovve data in equation (1)
 
P = (m x 9.8 x 10)/60
2000 = (m x 9.8 x 10)/60
Therefore, m = 1224.489 Kg
 
Thus, the given electric pump can lift 1224.489 Kg, every minute to height of 10m.
