(a) The materials through which we can see easily are called transparent materials.
Examples: Water, Glass.
The materials through which we cannot see clearly are called translucent materials.
Examples: Butter paper, Muddy water.
The materials through which we cannot see at all are called opaque materials.
Examples: Cardboard, Metals.
(b) We can't see behind a wall because it is made up of opaque material called bricks.
