Apparent depth = Real depth / Refractive index.
Hence apparent depth is inversely proportional to refractive index.
Refractive index of violet colour light is greater than refractive index of red colour light .
Refractive index keep on decreases from violet colour to red colour .
Hence violet colour light has high refractive index, low Apparent depth and appears to be raised more.
