Please explain rectilinear propagation of light? Which contry devloped the most accurate clock?

Hi,

The property of light travelling in a straight line is called as the rectilinear propagation of light. A light source can be seen only if there is a straight-line path between the source and our eyes.

Example:

  1. Sunrays entering a dark room through a small opening appear to travel in a straight line.
  2. Light from torch, headlights of cars, etc. appears to travel in a straight line

hi sir,       i have some problem to understand that how to solve the problems based on the formation of images by a plane mirror.so please help me to solve those problems   1.the real view mirror is a plane mirror. a driver is reversing his car at speed of 2m/s. the driver sees in his real mirror, the image of a truck parked behind his car. the speed at ehich the image of the truck appears to approch the driver will be:   a)1m/s  b)2m/s  c)4m/s  d)8m/s
