If we melt gold with high temperature,we get liquid mixture ofgold and copper.if we pour the mixture in water, will the gold and copper seperate? Can we find the mass of gold?

Expert Answer

When a mixture of gold and copper is poured in the water, it will get solidified again. Hence, it will not get separated. We cannot find out the mass of the gold unless we have the total mass of the mixture (gold + copper).
