1/2 litre each of 3 sample of H2O2 of 10vol, 15vol, 20 vol are mixed with each other and it is then diluted with equal volume of water. Calculate normality of the resultant solution.

Volume Strength:
It means,
1 ml of 10 vol. gives 10 ml of oxygen.
1 ml of 15 vol. gives 15 ml of oxygen.
1 ml of 20 vol. gives 20 ml of oxygen.
Replace ml by Litre:
1 L of 10 vol. gives 10 L of oxygen.
1 L of 15 vol. gives 15 L of oxygen.
1 L of 20 vol. gives 20 L of oxygen.
We are taking half litres of each sample,
5 L + 7.5 L + 10 L = 22.5 L
Now equal volume of water is added and it is diluted.
i.e. 22.5 L of water is added.
So, 22.5 L + 22.5 L = 45 L
So total volume of solution = 45 L
Out of 45 L, the amount of oxygen which will be released is 22.5 L
So volume strength of final solution will be = 22.5/45 = 0.5 L or 0.5 vol.
