Write down the advantages and disadvantages of regional parties?

The advantages of regional political parties:
- Regional parties focus on local issues like the lack of educational facilities, good roads, water, electricity and communications in their respective regions. This has resulted in people favoring these parties during elections.
- Also, because of coalition politics, the national political parties depend on regional parties when no all-India party is a position to secure absolute majority in the Lok Sabha. Moreover, various regional parties become coalition partners of national parties in forming State Governments.
