One Prudential reason for Power sharing- It reduces any chances of conflicts between social groups. By avoiding conflicts, political stability and unity of the country can be maintained. In India, it can avoid social conflicts between members of various castes and sub castes.
One moral reason for power sharing- Power sharing is the true spirit of democracy. Every section of community has the right to be consulted on how they are to be governed. In India, people of religious communities are allowed to follow their own laws regarding marriage, adoption etc.
