The League of Nations was disbanded because
1. It did not had great powers as its members. US did not join the League. Japan , Germany and Italy also left the League later.
2. League Of Nations was dominated by England and France and consequently the other states began to loose their confidence in that organization.
3. The League was proven incapable of preventing wars. The league took no action against the offending countries when Poland seized a part of Lithuania in 1920 and Japan captured Manchuria (China) in 1931 and Italy annexed Ethiopia (Africa) in 1936.
4. The rise of dictatorship in Italy, Japan and Germany also weakened the chances of success of the League of Nations .
