Why a brick doesn't reach the height from which thrown from? IS THIS ACT BREAKS THE NEWTON'S third law..?

- Newtons third law of the motion explains that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
- In simpler words, it means that every action is treated with equal (in magnitude) but opposite (in direction) reaction.
- Therefore, when a brick is thrown on the ground from a height it receives the same reaction force from the surface of the earth by which it fell on it.
- However, we do not see that a brick bounces back like a ball even after facing equal and opposite reaction force.
- This is because an average indian brick has a mass of 3 kg, therefore with this considerate amount of mass, the gravitational pull exerted on the brick towards the centre of the earth is so strong that it does not allow the brick to bounce back as one may think what should happen based on Newton's third law.
