Expert Answer
Intensive subsistence farming is practised in regions where the population on land is higher, and it involves extensive usage of biochemical agricultural tools and irrigation methods that would in turn result in higher productivity.
Some states in India which follow intensive farming are coastal areas of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and West Bengal where the fertility of the soil is high and suitable for the cultivation of staple crops.
