ICSE Class 9 Answered
when a leaf and a cricket ball is dropped at the same time from the same height, why does the ball reach the ground first even though acceleration due to gravity is same? it is said that for anybody, irrespective of its mass has the same acceleration due to gravity

That difference in time occurs due to the air resistance. The air resistance exerts the opposite force on free fall of leaf than that on the ball as it is heavier than the leaf. But if there is no air resistance, then both the leaf and ball will reach the ground at same time.
