ICSE Class 9 Answered
What gravity can be increase or decrease by any mean.

g = GM/R2
where,
g - acceleration due to gravity
G - Gravitational constant
M - Mass of the Earth
R - radius of the earth
Acceleration due to gravity is maximum at poles (where R is minimum) and is minimum at the equator (where R is maximum).
The value of acceleration due to gravity 'g' is maximum on the surface of the earth but it decreases as we go above or beneath the Earth's surface.
Acceleration due to gravity is 0 at the centre of the Earth.
