Dear Student
Puzler asked was
King Rajendra had decided that one of his daughters, Princess Ramani should marry mean Mansingh. But she did not want to do so .So, the king decided that he will put a black and a white stone in a hat and if Ramani would take out white stone, she would have to marry mean Mansingh Some days later, mean Mansingh, King Rajendra and Ramani were together on the lane to the palace which is paved with small black and white stones. The king asks mean Mansingh to take two stones and put it in his hat. Princess Ramani sees that the mean Mansingh puts in two white stones. She thinks of saying this, but fails to voice it. Princess Ramani notices but fails to voice this deceiving act. But without raising much alarm, she took out one small stone, but then, immediately dropped it on the lane with all the other stones Some minutes later it is decided that princess Ramani does not have to marry mean Mansingh. What did princess Ramani do? Answer is
Princess Ramani just took out one small stone, but then immediately dropped it on the lane with all the other stones.
Then she claims that the stone she took should be the opposite of the one which is left in the hat. So since there were two white stones in the hat, it will be concluded in this way that she took a black stone. So princess Ramani fortunately does not have to marry the mean Mansingh.
