Density also known as volumetric mass density is defined as mass per unit volume.
It is denoted by d or ρ
Mathematically it is thus represented as,
d = mass/ volume
d =m/V
As we know that SI unit of mass and volume is kg and m3 .
Thus the unit of volumetric mass density is kg/m3
