2-ethoxy propane is the IUPAC name. Trivial name is isopropylethylether.
Ethers can be named by naming each of the two carbon groups as a separate word followed by a space and the word ether.
The OR group can also be named as a substituent using the group name, alkoxy.
CH3CH2OCH3
ethyl methyl ether or methoxyethane
CH3CH2-O-CH2CH3
ethoxyethane
