What happens to the inertia of an object when its velocity is doubled ?

Expert Answer
Inertia is not dependent on the velocity of the body. It is dependent on the mass contained in the body.
If the velocity is doubled the momentum of the body is doubled. To stop such a body double force will be required to stop it
