Expert Answer:

Determinant of order 1 signifies length

Determinant of order 2 signifies area of a parallelogram

Determiant of order 3 signifies volume of the parallelopiped

Determinant of a matrix of order 4 or more  represents  volumes of 4 th and 5th dimensional parallelopipeds but we dont ave 4th and higher dimensional objects so we do not refer to the geometrical significance of 4th and higher order determinants
