What do you understand by the term ‘owner’s
equity’?

Owner’s equity means the balance showed on the credit side of the capital account of the proprietor/owner. It is the liability of the business towards the proprietor/owner.
Capital is calculated by using the following expression:
Capital = Assets - Liabilities
