"Tyranny of the majority is not just oppressive to the minority; but brings ruin to the majority as well." Justify.

In a democracy when the will of the majority is imposed, it seems as an attractive option, but is so only for a short run. It is because when this option is followed, it creates a sense of discrimination among the minority, in the long run. This creates social conflict among people leading to violence and political instability that undermines the unity of the nation. Therefore, tyranny of the majority is not just oppressive to the minority; but brings ruin to the majority as well.
