pH = 12 that means pOH = 2
So, H+ ion concentration i.e., [H+] = 10-12 M
That means, [OH-] = 10-2 M
or [NaOH] = 10-2 M
Molar mass of NaOH = 40 g
So, amount of NaOH in 1 litre = 10-2× 40 =  0.4 g/L
 
Thus, to prepare one litre solution of NaOH of ph 12 the required amount of NaOH is 0.4 g/L.
