Swati must have already taken the vaccine for chicken pox. Everyone—including children, adolescents, and adults—should get two doses of chickenpox vaccine if they have never had chickenpox or were never vaccinated. Chickenpox vaccine is very safe and effective at preventing the disease.
Another possibility is that Swati might have already suffered from chickenpox earlier. When someone get chickenpox, their bodies fight the illness by making a substance called antibodies. The antibodies fight the virus and help the body get well. These antibodies stay in your body throughout your life. If an adult comes in contact with the virus, the antibodies are there to fight the germ. That is why, Swati didnot suffer from chicken pox this time.
