the refractive index of A respect B is 2/3 and B respect C is 3/4 .calculate the refractive index of A respect to C

Refractive index of A w.r.t B = BμA = mu subscript A over mu subscript B equals 2 over 3 
Refractive index of B wr.t. C = CμB = mu subscript B over mu subscript C equals 3 over 4 
Refractive index of A w.r.t. C = CμA = mu subscript A over mu subscript C equals mu subscript A over mu subscript B cross times mu subscript B over mu subscript C equals 2 over 3 cross times 3 over 4 equals 2 over 4
Thus, refractive index of A w.r.t C is 0.5
