The power of convex lens of focal length 20 cm is ______. [SSC class 10th Part I -2023]

(a)    +5.0 D

(b)   0.20 D

(c)    -5.0 D

(d)   0.5 D

Solution:

Given that,

Focal length, f = 20 cm = + 0.2 m

∵ for convex lens, the focal length is positive

Power of lens, P = 1/f

 therefore P equals 10 over 2 equals plus 5.0 space D
