The ratio of two numbers is 7:5.If each number is decreased by 3 then their ratio becomes 3:2 . Find the sum of both the ends.

Let the numbers be 7x and 5x.
As per the given situation.
This gives,
x = 3 on solving.
7x = 21
3x = 15
Their sum = 36.
