Since ABCD is a parallelogram

_{}AB = DC and AB

_{}DC

_{}

_{}AE = DF and AE

_{}DF

_{}Quadrilateral ABCD is a parallelogram.

Similarly, quadrilateral EBCF is also a parallelogram.

_{}AEFD and EBCF are two parallelograms on the same base EF and between the same parallels, AD and BC.

_{}ar(AEFD) = ar(EBCF)
