It is assumed that number of students in ach batch is to be calculated.
Ratio of students in batch A , B , C and D is
A : B: C : D = 2 : 1 : 2 : 3
Let number of students in batch A = 2x ;
Let number of students in batch B = x ;
Let number of students in batch C = 2x ;
Let number of students in batch D = 2x
In Batch A, percentage of failed is 24 % , hence number of students passed in batch-A = ( 2-0.48) x = 1.52 x ;
In Batch B, percentage of failed is 20 % , hence number of students passed in batch-B = ( 1-0.2) x = 0.80 x ;
In Batch C, percentage of failed is 16 % , hence number of students passed in batch-C = ( 2-0.32) x = 1.68 x ;
In Batch D, percentage of failed is 20%, hence number of students passed in batch-D = ( 3-0.60) x = 2.40 x ;
Hence total number of students passed = ( 1.52 +0.80 +1.68+2.40) x = 6.40 x = 480
Hence from above expression, we get x = 75
Number of students in batch A = 2x = 150 ;
Number of students in batch B = x = 75 ;
Number of students in batch C = 2x = 150 ;
Number of students in batch D = 3x = 225 ;
