As per our policy one question is going to be answered in one url
1.a. let's assum effort provided by any person is T since it's the same string and it's been tied to pully at 3 places so the result would be 3 times as that of effort. That's why it's mechanical advantage is 3
You can also use tension method that over the pully tension got added. There 3 different places pully has been in contact with rope so tension would 3 time it's intial value.
